Ingredients

Pasta and Sauce Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (linguine or penne)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 oz Cajun sausage (sliced)
  • 1 bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1/2 onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese (for serving)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the sliced sausage, bell pepper, onion, and garlic; cook until the sausage is browned and the vegetables are tender.

Cooking

  • Stir in the heavy cream, chicken broth, and Cajun seasoning; bring to a simmer.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet; mix until well combined and heated through.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve with grated Parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the level of Cajun seasoning to your taste. You can use any type of sausage you prefer, such as chicken or turkey sausage. For a healthier option, add more vegetables like spinach or zucchini. Store any leftover pasta in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will stay good for 3-4 days. To reheat, warm it in a skillet over medium heat, adding a little chicken broth or cream to loosen the sauce if needed.
