  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 piece onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place the chicken breasts in the crock pot.
  • In a bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, chopped onion, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Pour the sauce over the chicken.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easy to shred.
  • Shred the chicken with two forks and stir it into the sauce.

Notes

Use chicken thighs for richer flavor. Add cayenne pepper or hot sauce for spice. Vegetables like bell peppers or jalapeños can enhance texture and taste.
