Ingredients

  • 4 (6 oz each) salmon filets, skin-on or skinless
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp blackening seasoning (optional)
  • 3 tbsp butter, unsalted
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven broiler to high. Place salmon on a parchment-lined baking sheet, skin-side down
  • Pat fillets dry. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and blackening seasoning (if using)
  • Heat 1 tbsp butter with olive oil in a skillet over medium-high. Sauté garlic 1 minute until fragrant
  • Add honey and rice vinegar, simmering 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened
  • Brush glaze over salmon. Broil 8-10 minutes, basting 2-3 times until glaze is bubbly and golden
  • Let rest 5 minutes before serving

Notes

Use center-cut salmon for even cooking. For extra flavor, serve with steamed vegetables or jasmine rice
Substitute regular paprika for a milder taste. Brush glaze under skin for deeper flavor penetration
Storage: Glaze can be made 2 days ahead; keep salmon separate until assembly
